Toledo’s annual Restaurant Week is coming in late February, with a total of 40 restaurants, eateries, and drink establishments participating this year.
The eateries involved are located all around the area from downtown, Holland, Oregon, Maumee, Perrysburg, and Whitehouse Sylvania to North, South, and West Toledo. Coffee shops, grills, steakhouses, diners, bistros, bakeries, pubs, and restaurants are all being represented. Menus from participating businesses will be posted online at the event’s website tomorrow, February 22.
Some proceeds from every meal purchased at these places during the event week will go to supporting the youth programs of Leadership Toledo. No fewer than 33 community high schools are involved in the organization’s three programs, namely Youth Leadership Toledo, Yipee, and Students in Action.
Print shops have been busily turning out special Restaurant Week Toledo T-Shirts, which may be purchased on the event’s website.
In conjunction with this year’s Restaurant Week, Libby Glass, a major sponsor of the event, is celebrating its 200th anniversary. To commemorate this accomplishment, it is also sponsoring a #ToastTo200 Photo Contest. Top prize will be a $200 gift card that may be redeemed at the Libbey Glass Factory Outlet.
This year’s Restaurant Week Toledo will be from Monday, February 26 through Sunday, March 4. The event Kickoff party will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 tomorrow, February 22, at the Secor Building at 425 Jefferson Avenue. Tickets are $40.
