Wersell’s Bike and Ski Shop is hosting Glow Roll 419 – a 10-mile leisurely ride through downtown Toledo. Family and friends can celebrate the turn of the season with fall evening biking while supporting Toledo’s Read for Literacy Programs.
The Glow Roll will be a night time glow bike tour that will have route maps, support of SAG vehicles loaded with safety gear, and rest stops supplied with snacks. All cyclists must wear helmets and bikes must have lights.
Registrants will receive, T-Shirts with the Glow Roll 419 graphic design on the front, and beverage tickets that may be used at the post-tour party. The party will have live music, beverages, and food trucks.
Teams of five can register for $100, and individual registration will be $25.
Proceeds will go to the Read for Literacy – a 30-year organization that supports the area’s literacy services. It provides reading aids to children and tutors to adults needing help in writing, reading, and conversation skills.
Glow Roll 2018 will be Friday, September 28 at the United Way of Greater Toledo, 424 Jackson Street. Registration will be from 6:30 to 7:00 pm and that will be followed by a Remarks and Safety talk at 7:00 pm.
The tour will begin at 7:30 pm. The finish line celebration starts at 9:30 pm at the Paula Brown Shop, 912 Monroe Street.
