Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is presenting live performances on its streaming platform in February and March.
Pianist, Steward Goodyear, will have a live performance February 6. He will play Fanfare and Fond Remembrance by Stanley Cowell, Sinfonietta No. 1 for Strings by Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4.
The Toledo Symphony will present a Valentine Day show of romantic music “To the Moon and Back” on February 13. This will be a romantic journey featuring tangos, jazz tunes, and film favorites.
On Saturday, February 19, music connected with the Czech city of Prague will be played in the performance entitled, “Postcards from Prague”. The program will include Serenade for Strings by Antonin Dvorak and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 38, known as “Prague.”
Promedica Masterworks series will present a live performance of “Tchaikovsky and the Russian Romantics” on March 6. The conductor will be Alain Trudel and the violinist will be Kerson Leong. The program will be Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, Igor Stravinsky’s Selection for Suites and Serwgei Prokofiev’s Violin concerto No. 2.
All performances cost $19.99 each and begin at 8:00 pm and end around 10:00 pm. These performances will also be limited in-person events at the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle Theatre at 2445 Monroe Street.
