The Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center will be holding its first annual Fall Festival in a couple of days.
Rupp Seeds will be hosting the pumpkin patch, which will be loaded with traditional-type pumpkins and a variety of exotic ones. Everyone is invited to decorate their pumpkins and make fairy gardens.
There will be children’s games, and Fowl and Fodder will be selling autumn-themed treats. The Amazing Eli will twist balloon creatures, and healthcare professionals will be on site to disseminate information concerning community resources and to answer questions regarding brain injury. Guests will be encouraged to pick up their Flyers and Brochures.
The larger-than-life MEGA Brain inflatable will be an exhibit in which people can walk through the “human brain” and view it from the inside out. It will show how the brain works and what happens when it is injured.
TBI survivors have been busily making fleece mermaid tails, and the event will be offering the colorful tails for sale. These can be used for Halloween or just for loungewear. Little girls and their moms will be wearing the tails for pictures for family Calendars, personalized Stationery, and possible future poster printing.
The Fall Festival will be September 30 in the parking lot in front of the Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center, 7430 W. Central Avenue Suite C, Toledo. It will start at 10:00 am and run until 5:00 pm.
