Annual Holiday Parade in Toledo draws thousands

Thousands of spectators turned out for the 25th Annual Holiday Parade on Saturday, November 17. The annual parade kicked off at 10:00 am with Erik Kynard, who is an Olympic silver medalist, and ‘Toy Story’ characters as the grand marshals. One young spectator was even so excited that he showed up in his Buzz Lightyear costume to cheer on the grand marshals and anxiously await the appearance of Buzz Lightyear. Two-year-old Landon Hess was with his mother and grandfather near the area where the parade started. London’s grandfather, Kevin Marsh, commented:

"That's why we came. He was Buzz for Halloween, and he's really excited."


Community parades and other holiday festivities throughout the city often use banner printing, flyer printing, and a number of other printing services to welcome spectators, announce activities, or provide other Forms of information. As the holiday season is now upon us, printing companies in and around the Toledo area may just find themselves with an extra workload.

The assembly of parade entrants and entertainers started at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and North Summit Street in downtown Toledo and continued to the intersection of North Huron Street and Monroe Street. In addition to the ‘Toy Story’ characters and Mr. Kynard, other participants in the parade included 10 marching bands from area high schools, a number of choirs and dance teams, the Toledo Rocket Marching Band from the university, and the Distinguished Clown Corps.
