The Stow Harvest Festival, hosted by the Stow Historical Society, will be coming to town next month.
There will be food, handmade crafts, and art for sale at the festival as well as free tours of a one-room schoolhouse and three historic homes. Among the activities for both adults and children will be stirring the apple butter and watching the blacksmith at work as well as free musical entertainment.
The Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library will have a table at the festival. There will be a craft for children and attendees can learn more about the library’s collection on local history.
The Harvest Festival is the main fundraising event of the Stow Historical Society (SHS). The funds are used by the SHS to maintain the archives, repair, preserve, and share artifacts and the buildings in the Heritage Reserve Park which the Stow Historical Society overseas. Among these buildings are the Mary Starr House, Minnie Darrow House, and the Stewart School and heritage house Museums.
Organizers of such annual events will often use poster printing to garner attendance from people in town and surrounding communities and to highlight its fundraising efforts and benefits for residents.
The Stow Harvest Festival will take place on Saturday September 28 and Sunday September 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days at the Heritage Reserve Park at Silver Springs Park in Stow.
