UVCC boasts two prize winning teachers

Upper Valley Career Center (UVCC) in Piqua has not just one, but two teachers receiving national teaching prizes supplied by Harbor Freight Tools.

Automotive teacher Andy Buehler was one of five to receive a $100,000 grand prize, of which $70,000 will go to the school and the remaining given to him for his own use. Manufacturing teacher Konner Keller was awarded $50,000, one of 20 to be awarded this amount. The school will receive $35,000 of Keller’s prize money and he will receive $15,000.

A total of $105,000 will go to the high school skilled trade program at Upper Valley Career Center.

UVCC offers high school students the opportunity to start working in their field and earn college credits, without missing out on school activities such as sports while doing so.
