Piqua hosts Leadership Development Series

This fall in Piqua the Edison State Community College Workforce Development & Work-Based Learning office will be conducting a series of Leadership Development workshops.

Colleges have ample uses for banner printing services.

The trio of workshops taking place on Tuesdays will be held from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on the Piqua Campus. The course curriculum will be provided by a world recognized leadership development organization – Development Dimensions International.

The first workshop in the series will take place on October 7 and be entitled “Peer Today, Boss Tomorrow” where four proven strategies will be discussed to successfully handle the transition to a supervisory role.

The second, titled Coaching – Moving People Forward will be on October 28 and deal with inspiring workers and leading teams through change. Discussed will be practical techniques to coaching in a variety of situations and building relationships rooted in trust.

The last workshop will be Resolving Workplace Conflict and will take place take place on November 18. This session will deal with managing conflict that so often take accompanies the pressure to increase productivity, shorten cycle time, improve quality and reduce costs. Highlighted will recognizing Signs of escalating conflict and how to minimize damage by taking appropriate action.
