Piquas Edison College accepting A-Z Award applications

Applications are currently being accepted by The Center for Leadership Development of Edison State Community College for its yearly A-Z Nonprofit Board Award.

This award recognizes the exceptional work done in the region and the recipient’s dedication to stewardship.

The award also gives nonprofit boards a means for self-evaluation and assistance with planning, in addition to providing Checks and balances that can be used by organizations throughout the year. Moreover, nonprofits receive specific actions and steps that will assist their boards in achieving their organizational goals.

Just like businesses, nonprofits can promote themselves and their services with the help of brochure printing services.

26 criteria covering six areas comprise the checklist for the A-Z Nonprofit Board, with the six areas being financial management, human resources, governance and leadership, communication, partnerships, “friendraising” and fundraising.

Three levels of recognition are provided by the award: bronze-, silver- and gold-level recognition. Out of the 26 criteria awards for Leadership Development, bronze is given if at least 17 criteria are met, a minimum of 19 for silver, and at least 23 for gold.

The Center must receive the A-Z Nonprofit checklist from the nonprofit boards by April 30 to be eligible for the award. Announcements of award recipients will take place at the Mosaic of Community Leadership Conference on May 20 at Edison College.

Nonprofit boards may apply each year for an award.
