CNA training hosted by Edison State in Greenville and Piqua

A two-step Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training course will be hosted by Edison State Community College with part of the training taking place in Greenville and part being held in Piqua.

Locally as well as across Ohio the demand for CNAs is high. Participants who complete this course will have plenty of employment opportunities as home health care providers, in rehabilitation centers, hospitals and at assisted living facilities. Moreover, many Ohio nursing schools require the completion of CNA training as a prerequisite.

Some institutions utilize brochure printing services to help them entice job applicants.

The course will be divided into classroom and clinical training and conducted by experienced instructors who will prepare the students to be eligible to work as a CNA by March. Classes will start on February 10 and continue through the 12th and then resume on the 16 through the 20th from 3:15 pm – 8:15 pm at 100 Green Wave Way, which is the GHS-Greenville Career Technical Center.

On February 21 and 22, clinicals will take place at Piqua Manor from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm at 1840 High Street, Piqua. Prior to starting clinicals students must have finished both steps of their TB test. Classroom training will continue in Greenville again from 3:15 to 8:15 February 23-26.

Those wishing to take the class and clinical training will have to meet certain eligibility requirements. Registration and more information can be found at Edison State Community College’s website.
