Manufacturing Bootcamp to be offered in Piqua

Honda will be presenting Manufacturing Bootcamp at Edison State Community College in July at its Piqua campus.

The two-week hybrid training program is designed for students who are at least 16 years old and is designed to instill the job-ready skills required for careers in modern manufacturing. Individuals will be able to build practical skills, explore careers hands-on, and be exposed to advanced manufacturing opportunities.

The students will finish relevant online coursework, participate in hands-on, project-based labs and learn from Honda industry experts during tours of Honda facilities. They will also be introduced to career pathways offering long-term career growth, strong wages, and continued educational opportunities while also building important workplace skills including teamwork, communication, confidence and problem-solving.

Quality Business Cards have a role to play in job hunting and should include any relevant education and training.

Attendees will gain experience in quality control, robotics and automation, CNC machining, lean manufacturing, AI in manufacturing and in safety. Once completed they will have earned their Certified Manufacturing Associate credentials provided from Tooling U-SME, as well as three points that can be applied to their K-12 graduation. Plus, those who complete with perfect attendance will also be given a $250 stipend.

Manufacturing Bootcamp will be held at Edison State Community College July 20-31 with a mandatory orientation day on Monday, July 13, 2026.
