Entries are now being accepted by the Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health for its annual Art of Recovery exhibition for display at two separate locations, one in September in Piqua and the other in October in Troy.
Among the types of entries being accepted are drawings, paintings, photography, music and poetry. The exhibit is being held in conjunction with September’s National Recovery Month and October’s annual Tri-County Board Meeting.
The theme for this year’s Art of Recovery Exhibit is “New Beginnings,” representing recovery in general as well as the opening of the new Tri-County Board’s Administration and Training Center on N. County Road in Troy. Poster printing services often assist in exhibit promotion.
From September 11 to 28, the Art of Recovery Exhibit will be on display at the Piqua campus of Edison State Community College in the Vaccaro-Myers Art Gallery, and then from October 2 to 22 it will be at Tri-County Boards Administration & Training Center.
The dedication of the new building, The Art of Recovery awards ceremony, and The Artists Reception will all take place on October 18. The exhibit will remain accessible for viewing during business hours through October 20.
The exhibit is open to those who have experienced a mental health crisis or addiction, as well as anyone impacted by this, such as friends or family members. More than one entry is permitted but each piece must be accompanied by a separate entry form. The deadline for entries is Tuesday, September 5.
