On the same June weekend, two fun events will be taking place a dozen miles or less from Piqua.
First, one of the Midwest’s premier festivals, is once again being held in nearby Troy this June. Local non-profits have enjoyed the support of the Troy Strawberry Festival for over 46 years. A non-profit is partnered with each food vendor at the festival in historic downtown Troy, meaning each purchase goes to raising funds for that specific non-profit’s mission.
Despite its name, the festival is not just about strawberries, although they do play a prominent part. Over 100 vendors featuring arts and crafts will be on hand, in addition to over 60 food vendors.
The Troy Strawberry Festival takes place Saturday, June 4 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, and on Sunday, June 5 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Many municipalities use a banner printing service to promote their special events.
That same weekend, the Bradford Railroad Heritage Festival is taking place. This one-day event is held by the Bradford Ohio Railroad Museum, a place where railroad enthusiasts can go to explore the area’s railroad history via interactive displays, old photos, and other memorabilia.
In addition to the exhibits and train layouts, there will be a Thomas Kiddie Train, a Kiddie Tractor, and a Thomas the Train play area.
The Bradford Heritage Festival takes place on Saturday, June 4 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
