Scavenger hunt series offers summer fun in Piqua
A citywide scavenger hunt series is in the works for Piqua this summer, allowing residents and visitors to explore the town’s history and support its businesses.
The Awesome Scavenger Hunt: Piqua’s Playful Pursuit Adventure will open registration for interested parties in a few weeks, providing a fun way for participants to learn more about the city’s history while discovering new boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. The hunt is being organized by Let’s Roam Scavenger Hunt Adventures.
The scavenger hunt’s waypoints will take participants to historical markers, landmarks, memorials, and places with humorous and intriguing backstories. Top stops include the Piqua Veterans Memorial, the Shannon-Kiser Building, and Captain Don Gentile. Promotional products are a memorable way for businesses in the area to make a lasting impression on participants at such events.
The organizers will give each participant an interactive role along with photo challenges to bring the group together and help create memories. Each stop features questions that can be answered through the Roam app. The best photos taken during the scavenger hunt will earn bonus points. The event is self-guided, and interested parties can start at the time they wish.
The scavenger hunt will start at 108 N. Main Street in Piqua, with the first hunt starting at 8:00 AM on Sunday, June 1. Tickets cost $14.99 per player online.
