Rock Piqua in August to take place as a drive-in event

Rock Piqua organizers have announced that its August concert will take place, although with some adjustments to ensure social distancing.

The lack of permits, due to COVID-19, caused the cancellation of the June and July Rock Piqua events but the Piqua Arts Council has found a solution to the earlier dilemma. As Council Executive Director Jordon Knepper explained:

“We know people are looking for opportunities to get out of their house, but we still have to operate within the guidelines as they exist today.”

Poster printing services are a popular means of advertising special events throughout the year.

The event will now be held on August 15 in the parking lot of the Miami Valley Centre Mall. Arriving in cars, concertgoers can enjoy the show from inside their car or in the designated area in front of them in their own lawn chairs.

Those in attendance will be asked to not stray from their designated areas and if possible, to stay throughout the event since driving out while the concert is in progress will be difficult and could cause safety concerns.

The concert will commence at 7:00 pm with the Dayton southern rock group, Jamie Suttle. At 8:00 pm the concert will be handed over to Clark Manson who will continue to play through 10:00 pm.

Attendees are cautioned to not bring alcohol but are welcome to bring other refreshments.
