Piqua welcomes summer weather with Taste of the Arts
Miami County residents will once again be converging on Piqua this May to enjoy the annual, family-friendly Taste of the Arts.
This will be the 28th year for the one-day food and arts celebration, which is put together by Mainstreet Piqua and held here in downtown Piqua each spring. A festive mood will prevail as music fills the air, while crowds enjoy food and art downtown.
Banner printing services provide a means not only to announce an event ahead of time, but they also add to the festive atmosphere while the event is taking place.
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy sample portions from local restaurants and caterers in exchange for between one and four tickets. Tickets may be purchased at a centrally located booth in proximity to the food tents, or from ticket sellers moving throughout the tasting area. Dozens of items will be available for tasting including pizza and Winans chocolate.
In addition to eating, those at the festival can enjoy artists demonstrating their craft at downtown storefronts. Information regarding the where and when of these demonstrations can be found at the food ticket booth. Families can take the kids to The Main Street Kids Zone, where a total of six separate youth-oriented organizations host free activities such as mask making and spin art for children.
