Edison State Community College, in conjunction with the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, will have a Phlebotomy certification program available during its Spring Semester.
Piqua residents looking to start or change careers might consider taking advantage of these Phlebotomy classes, which will be held at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in the nearby community of St. Mary’s. Following completion of their course and successfully completing testing, students will receive a certification in phlebotomy.
Universities of all sizes often turn to Print shops for their promotional materials, as well as items such as Catalogs listing the classes they offer.
One of just four schools in Ohio that are accredited for this phlebotomy course, Edison College has the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences’ approval. Its 10.5-credit-hour certification takes one semester to complete.
To sign up for the course, applicants will also have to meet two co-requisite requirements, which are a GPA of 2.0 or higher for students and a college-level English placement or having completed a Developmental Reading and Writing course from the college. Credits for prior learning may be available for STNAs or LPNs.
The phlebotomy classes will be held on Monday evenings from 5:00pm – 9:00pm beginning January 15 and running through May 11, 2024.
