Piqua-based Midwest Maintenance launches new brand

Midwest Maintenance Inc. (MMI), a company that provides historic building restoration and preservation services, is rebranding itself as a new generation in the family-owned business takes the reins.

The company was founded 42 years ago by William and Jeanne Meyer, and it is their three daughters, Angela M. Giguere, Shelly R. Chapman and Cynthia L. Cathcart along with their nephew William J. Meyer who are the new owners. MMI marketing director, Shelly Chapman, was quoted in Miami Valley Today as saying:

“The world is changing fast, and as the new owners of Midwest Maintenance Inc., we knew it was time to rebrand in order to celebrate the accomplishments that we have all built together.”

Among the changes companies may make when rebranding themselves is a change in their logo design.

MMI has restored and preserved historic buildings in over 50 cities spread out across 13 state, while always keeping their goal of "providing customers with exceptional service" in mind. Some of their projects include the Governor’s mansion in Austin, Texas and Fort Sumter in Charleston, South Carolina.

Going into the future, the family feels the key to their marketing will revolve around strong, successful branding and has already chosen a new tagline: “Preserve Character by Restoring Craftsmanship.” The idea of this is to align with the family’s expertise and craftsmanship.
