Edison State event to laud administrative professionals
On the Piqua Campus of Edison State Community College, a special program is planned in honor of Administrative Professionals Day in recognition of the contributions made by office support staff not only at the college but throughout the area.
This annual event takes place on April 23, a Wednesday, in the Robinson Theater. It is open to office support staff of all kinds, including executive assistants, administrative assistants, office managers, and all of those that provide administrative or secretarial support to one or more supervisors.
This year’s program will include a workshop presented by Tommy Renfro, Shook Construction’s Learning and Development Manager, called “AI for Administrative Professionals: Boosting Efficiency with ChatGPT.” Participants will have the opportunity via interactive learning to acquire valuable skills for incorporating AI into their daily workflow. The workshop is designed with administrative professionals in mind and will show attendees how to use AI to maximize productivity while simplifying tasks.
Also on the agenda for the Administrative Professionals Day program, which takes place 11:30 am to 1 pm on April 23, are networking opportunities, door prizes and lunch. Business cards are a basic necessity for those wishing to expand their network of professional contacts.
Free registration is available for Edison State students; others wishing to participate in the program will be charged $25 to register. The university encourages supervisors and managers to accompany their administrative professionals to this event. April 18 at midnight is the deadline for registration.
