Runners here in West Columbus may be interested in heading to Columbus River Front for the Skechers Hot Chocolate Run in mid-November.
Participants will have three running options. Registration will be $54 for the 5k, $64 for the 10k, and $74 for the 15k.
Swag will include Hot Chocolate Run jackets, Ghirardelli hot chocolate, finisher medals, chocolate fondue finisher's Mugs, commemorative race bibs, free race photos, and admission to the post-race party.
Overall female and male finishers for each race will receive $250 for first place, $150 for second place, and $100 for third. Patches will be given to the top three female and male finishers in each of the 15 age categories.
The course will begin in the Riverfront District and will take runners on a tour through the riverfront, downtown Columbus, and neighborhoods such as German and Victorian villages and the Uptown District. It will end alongside Nationwide Arena.
The event expo and packet pickup will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on November 15th at the Greater Columbus Convention Center - Battelle, 400 N High Street. Vendors at expos like this often have event-themed images on their paper products and Business Cards.
Skechers Hot Chocolate Run will take place on Sunday, November 16 beginning at McFerson Commons, 218 West Street, Columbus. The 5k will begin at 7:30 am, followed by the 10k at 8:30 am and the 15k at 8:30 am.
