West Columbus celebrates the 4th on the 3rd

Many here in West Columbus will be heading to the Red, White & Boom Independence Day celebration coming a day earlier than the traditional July 4th.

Rock Paper Scissors will be performing in Bicentennial Park from beginning at 6:00 pm.

The Ford Oval of Honor Parade will step off at Main and 2nd Street and march west toward the river along Main Street from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm.

Bicentennial Park will feature live performances from noon until right before the fireworks begin at 10:00 pm and resume at 10:20 with an encore performance from Basement Banders.

Although the parade will be free, A VIP village will offer drinks, food, access to the Family Fun Zone and a terrific view of the fireworks. Tickets will be $150 for adults and $55 for children.

A Donatos Family Fun Zone, located next to COSi on the Dorian Green will feature a DJ, bounce houses, food, drinks and kids' games. These tickets run for $10.00 for adults and $30 per child.

The Red, White & Boom Fireworks will be shot off from two barges in the Scioto River. The show will last from 10:00 pm to 10:20 pm.
