Construction of apartments underway in West Columbus

Erection of the first phase of a large Columbus development has started with the recent beginning of the 336-unit OSU East apartment complex in proximity to the Ohio State University Airport.

OSU East will include 11 three-story residential buildings consisting of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments as well as a pool, clubhouse and other amenities at 2575 West Dublin Granville Road. The apartment mix will be 36 three-bedroom units, 156 two-bedroom units, and 144 one-bedroom apartments.

The developer, the Cleveland-based NRP Group, has already created affordable and senior housing in Columbus such as the Residences at Career Gateway, Parsons Village Senior Apartments and The Lofton. However, this will be the developer’s first market-rate apartment community.

OSU East will, in addition to the 336 apartments, ultimately add an additional 474 homes. It will be only a portion of the 27.5-acre residential development that will one day include 138 for-sale townhomes. OSU East will have access to Interstate 270 and State Route 315 and be within the Worthington City School District.

Amenities for the OSU East complex will include a fitness center, clubhouse with full kitchen, a coworking space, an outdoor grill and seating area, volleyball and bocce courts, courtyards, and a pool.

A timeline for completion of OSU East has not yet been made available.
