West Columbus folks who enjoy music paired with food will be heading to the Jazz & Ribs Fest coming in mid-July. The three-day event is free, and so are all of the performances.
Some of the artists and bands performing on the West Bank Park Stage will be Mavis Staples, Kenny Lattimore, Kofi B., Byron Stripling, Anthony Saxson Freedom Collective, and the Whirlybirds. The lineup for the Bicentennial Park Stage will include 496 West, Levi Brown & The Smokin' Section, Doctor Thunder Quartet, Liz Wright, and Cimafunk. In total, 28 acts will take to the stage.
More than 35 food vendors will be across the two sites. In addition to barbeque, ribs, and chicken cooked by pitmasters, attendees can look forward to concessions, sweet potato pie, ribs, seafood, shaved ice, and mini donuts. Many booths will also have samplings of their products.
Often, a food vendor at events such as this has one of the local Print shops create a logo and Print the design on the vendor's paper products. Sponsors wishing to get their brands, logos, and products out to around 215,000 festivalgoers can purchase a space, starting at $5,500.
This year's Jazz & Ribs Fest will take place at Bicentennial Park and West Bank Park in Columbus over the July 18 to 20 weekend. It runs from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm on the first two days, wrapping up a little earlier at 8:00 pm on the Sunday.
