One mans trash another mans treasure in Grandview Heights

Spring is here and most of us are getting into spring-cleaning mode. All our unwanted junk may still be worth something to someone, and we still have a week or so to get ready for the Grandview’s Great Garage Sale.

Participants are encouraged to register at the Parks and Recreation website, the city’s website, or come to the Parks and Recreation building at 1515 Goodale Boulevard to get the Forms. Fees will be $5.

Flyer printing will be carried out by the city, and Flyers may be picked up at the library, Parks and Recreation offices, and at the Municipal building early in May. These Flyers will list addresses of those participating. As in past years, participants can expect a lot of business because the event will be advertised throughout the greater Columbus area.

Those participating may want to get some flyer printing of their own done to distribute notifications throughout their own neighborhoods. These may draw local friends and their neighbors to their sales.

Those interested will want to put some space aside on Saturday, May 7, on which the participation hours will be from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. Discarded and unsold items can be placed curbside for pickup during the city’s spring cleanup, which will be held from May 10 through May 13.
