Ohio venue goes to the dogs and cats

The 25th Columbus Pet Expo, Mega Adoption Event and All About Cat Expo will be coming to the Ohio Expo Center in mid-March.

The All-American Pet Expo will feature entertainment, contests (dachshund, lap dog races), shopping from over 200 vendors, pet competitions (grooming and diving), a Cool Zoo, and pet rescue organizations.

Along with three days of TICA Cat Show and the Classic K9 Show, the venue will include reptile, exotic bird, and llama worlds, and pet comic routines. Animal Planet’s “Pit Boss” Shorty Rossi will be giving a motivational speech about his experiences with pit bulls and his charity.

More than 250 cats are expected to compete in this year’s All About Cat Expo. Cat and pet products will be available from local vendors and there will be plenty of cat entertainment, an agility course and an Ask the Vet booth. Cat Rescue organizations will hand out Flyers and Business Cards.

Kids will have their own Columbus Kids World with 10 bouncers, a Hermit Crab Exhibit, shark tooth search and free kids’ meals. The COSI Science Spot will be bringing their basketball playing rats. Grandview Heights children can also enjoy face painting, a butterfly experience, and a crafts area.

The Mega Adoption Event will feature 20 pet adoption rescues with pets available such as cats, cockers, bulldogs, Dobermans, ferrets, cattle dogs, rottweilers, corgis and skunks.

The All-American Columbus Pet Expo will be from March 11 to 13.
