Grandview Library Foundation will be holding its annual Chocolate Walk later this week. This will be the third year for the event, for which more than 300 participants are expected.
Tickets will be $25 each and will allow the holder to receive a chocolate treat from each of the 23 participating local merchants. Some businesses last year distributed chocolate goodies such as one scoop of any chocolate flavored ice cream on cones, popcorn containing chocolate candy, and chocolate iced coffee.
The chocolate-gathering stroll will begin at the library and progress along West First, down First, and along Grandview avenues. The event will give participants a pleasant evening trek through Grandview’s pedestrian-oriented business district.
Tickets can be picked up at the library’s Circulation Desk on the day of the event starting at 4:00 pm. Each ticket will be on a lanyard and an accompanying sample bag will be included to gather the chocolate goodies.
The Grandview Library Endowment Fund will receive the proceeds from the event. This fund has been established to ensure the future of the local library.
Everyone will want to mark their Calendars for Thursday evening June 2. The walk is scheduled from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will begin at the Grandview Heights Public Library, 1st Avenue, Columbus. Tickets are limited and can be purchased online by using PayPal, or by cash or check at the library’s Circulation Desk.
