Grandview Heights Public library is about to get a little bit spookier.
The library has partnered with Grandview Parks and Recreation to host Howlin’ Halloween, a ‘Beggar’s Night.’ During this time, families can stop by to take scary pictures and have some treats.
This is one of many events the library has to offer. Year round concerts, ongoing story times, and an open mic night for teens are some of the other services the library provides.
Throughout the night, various costume contests will be taking place. The family contest will be going on from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Children from ages up to four can show off their costumes at 7:30 pm. Five through eight year olds will compete at 7:45 pm while the ‘tween’ contest will start at 8:00 pm. A winner from each group will receive a savings account certificate.
The parks and recreation division aims to organize and support community events. One of the ways the organization may have helped is by creating promotional materials. Poster printing companies are often asked to make various Signs for community events. Posters could be placed in and around the library, along with high-traffic spots in the surrounding areas.
The event takes place on October 31 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The library is located on 1685 West 1st Avenue.
