With October now here, all Grandview Heights ghosts and goblins are getting ready to enjoy the Halloween season.
For fitness enthusiasts, there will be Grandview Heights Parks and Recreation’s 39th Annual Great Pumpkin 5K Run. The first 500 registrants will receive T-Shirts, and costumes are expected.
Beggars’ Night will have a two hour window when children will be allowed to go trick-or-treating in Grandview Heights’ neighborhoods. Older kids are encouraged to wear reflective clothes, carry flashlights and go in groups. Little ones will be accompanied by adults.
The library will be holding its 5th Annual Howlin’ Halloween. Families are invited to gussy up in their favorite costumes and head on over to the library for treats and fun. Families will be having their pictures taken for family Calendars and Holiday Cards. Everyone will be able to enter one of the three costume contests that will be held during the evening. Members First Pathways Financial Credit Union has donated prizes for the winners.
The Pumpkin Race will begin at Grandview Middle School, 1240 Oakland Ave. Grandview on October 21 with registration from 7:30 am until 8:30 am. The Tiny Tot race will be at 8:20 am, and the adult race will start at 9:00 am.
Beggars’ Night and Howlin’ Halloween will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on October 31.
