Grandview Heights to run the lights

Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians will host its Run the Lights 2021 in a couple of weeks.

Grandview Heights participants have the option of running either three or six miles through Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights, which equates to one or two laps.

Registration for the three-mile race is $40 and $45 for the six-mile run, and will be limited to 700 runners.

Swag includes Mugs or Pint Glasses sporting the event graphic design, $5 discount tickets for vehicles returning to drive-through the show, and special items from the sponsor.

There will be 11 waves holding 60 runners each. Waves for the three-mile course start at 4:40 am and leave the starting line at 10 minute intervals. A special family wave will leave at 6:15 am. Kids in this wave will receive prizes at the finish line. Those running the six-mile option will leave at 4:40 am or 5:40 am. First, second, and third place finishers in each wave will receive medals.

From noon until 3:00 pm next Sunday, December 12, there will be a Packet Pickup Party at Clements Recreation Center at Otterbein University, 180 Center Street, Westerville. Guests can enjoy candy canes, hot chocolate, a bounce park for the kids, activities, live entertainment and Christmas shopping.

Run the Lights will be Saturday, December 18 from 4:40 am to 7:00 am. Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights at 3311 South Old State Road, Delaware, Ohio, is located at the Alum Creek State Park Campgrounds.
