MPEX Learning Studio will host a two-day Photoshop Boot Camp the first weekend in March, helping people boost their photo editing skills.
The workshop will begin with a look at file types, the application toolbar, and interface layout. After that there will be a hands-on session using the aforementioned tools, and participants can begin basic retouching and image editing.
Grandview Heights attendees will also be introduced to the editing program Photoshop Layers, learn how layers interacts, and get some insight into non-destructive editing.
The class will review what it already knows about Selections, how to make better choices, relationships between masks and selections, and masks application to layers. Next the topic will turn to channels. This session will end with a discussion of color modes and other applied techniques.
The next presentation will begin with a discussion of basic image compositing techniques and continue discussing image layering and blending exposures. After a short explanation of tools that build multilayered images, the discussion will move to looking at the layer blend modes and how to use them, and luminosity.
The final session will explore vector-based objects, text layers and tools, focusing on Text Objects. Advanced methods for document Print preparation will end the session. Instructors at workshops such as this usually have Business Cards available.
Photoshop Boot Camp will be Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Midwest Photo, 2887 Silver Drive, Columbus.
