Grandview Heights goes to zoo for lights and music

For the 30th time, The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is presenting its traditional Wildlights during the holiday season.

Lights will be everywhere, with Jingle Ball at Shores Play Park comprising 36 spheres of light illumination and seasonal tunes.

Two light animated light shows will be presented at 30-minute intervals at the Sparkling Spruce. The Tannenbaum will be the location of ‘Candela: The Evolution of Light’ and ‘Holiday Cheer’. Both shows will have sound along with their animation.

More animated light shows will be at Conservation Lake. These two shows will be new this year and full of festive songs that accompany the Holiday Rhythms Around the Water Hole.

Rudolf and his friends Hermey and Bumble can be found at Asia Quest. These classic characters will be meeting and greeting the little ones. Grandview Heights parents are encouraged to bring cameras for pictures, which can then be taken to local Print shops for copies to enclose with 2018 Christmas cards.

Rudolf will also be in the classic animated short film at the 4-D Theater Experience at Shores Park.

In the North America area, guests can hop aboard the North American Train renamed the Polar Bear Express and ride through the park’s winter wonderland. Other rides include camel trips that will be across from the food stand in the Prairie Outpost.

Wildlights will be open from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm until January 6, 2019 at 4850 West Powell Road, Powell.
