Grandview Heights foodies young and old get sweet tooth sated

Halloween is not far off, and little ghosts and goblins are getting ready to wolf down all those treats. In Grandview Heights, options are available for all generations.

One stop on the Grandview Height Beggars Night trek can be the 7th Annual Howlin’ Halloween at the Grandview Heights Public Library, 1685 W. 1st Avenue. Costume contests will be at 7:00, 7:30 and 8:00 pm on Halloween night itself. There will be plenty of treats and guests can get pictures taken with their friends and families.

For the more sophisticated sweet palate, Grandview Heights has the honor of being the location for Columbus’s first ever Live Columbus Dessert Festival coming in early November.

Each of the more than 25 elite Columbus candy and sweets outlets has been hand-selected to present samples of their signature desserts.

The $15 tickets are divided into four one-hour timeslots starting at 11:00 am. Each ticket will allow the holder to one dessert sampling per vendor. Each guest will receive a treat box and will be able to purchase more items to take home.

Guests that attend events such as this usually bring along some updated Business Cards to do a little networking when the occasion arises.

The Columbus Dessert Festival is scheduled for Sunday, November 3 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Grandview Yard’s Grand Event Center, 820 Goodale Boulevard.

Children may accompany adults but must have tickets if they want to try any samples.
