The Grandview Heights area will get the opportunity to attend Cloud City, a multimedia performance arts festival coming early in September.
This will be an outside/indoor extravaganza of comedy, photography, virtual reality, films, fashion, gaming, and skating. Instead of the usual commercial festival, organizers promise that this will be a community-driven, immersive experience that will include artists, topics, and media rarely seen at festivals.
The venue will have a meditation den, a skate park, a ‘barcade’ replete with mead and video games, and a movie theater. A photo studio will be hosted by Cozy International. The Comedy Club will be presenting podcasts, and vendors will be inside the mall.
There will be a grocery store where guests can purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages inside the venue, and food trucks out on Rick Street.
City Hall will be the place to purchase official merchandise that will no doubt be sporting the event Logo Design. An air-conditioned lounge and first aid station will be in the “hospital.”
The music line up for this event’s three stages will include LRS, It’s (I), Miir, Nicnacc, Kaliforniz, Tobilla, Bearstash, Veserium, Fortune Orange, and Elijah Banks.
Cloud City will be from Saturday, September 7 starting at 2:00 pm until midnight at Cloud City Mall, 400 West Rich Street, Columbus. Regular admission tickets are $20. Videography and photography are encouraged.
