The Grandview Heights Parks and Recreation Department will be holding its 33rd annual Music on the Lawn Concert Series during June and July. Over 5,000 attendees are expected.
The series will kick off with ‘60s music from the British Invasion. R&B and funk will be played by the Conspiracy Band the following week, and the Randys will be playing eclectic oldies after that. June concerts will end with the neo funk and soul sounds of MojoFlo.
After a week’s break for 4th of July celebrations, the Cherry Chrome - an alternative rock group - will start things up again. It will be followed by the Inner City Blues Band which will be playing R&B and blues. Blues will also be offered by the Silky Ray Band the next week, and the season will close with ‘70s rock offered by Agent 99.
Friends of the Grandview Library will be vending juice and water at each concert with proceeds going to the library. One local food truck will also be on site and a percentage of those sales will also go to the library.
Pictures may be taken for next year’s Summer Community Guide 2019 brochure printing.
The Music on the Lawn Concert series will take place on the Grandview Heights Public Library lawn on Tuesdays from 7:30pm until 8:30pm, starting June 5 and ending on July 31.
