Grandview Heights foodies who enjoy sweet treats will want to attend the upcoming Sweet Treats Dessert Festival in early February.
For the fourth year, the event will feature bite-size delicacies made by local treat makers. There will also be live entertainment and beverages available for purchase in promotional Drinkware. Dutch Creek Winery will have a representative there to demonstrate pairings of beverages and sweets.
The $15 tickets will allow Grandview-Heights guests to sample one treat from each of more than 20 treat makers. Treats will include cakes, cookies, ice cream, pretzels, cheesecake, and donuts. Guests may purchase extra treats to take home.
Some shops that will be participating will be Positively Sweet, Solo Merengues, Sadie Baby Sweets, and Simply Rolled Ice Cream.
Barroluco Argentine Comfort Food will have its truck there to offer alfajores (South American cookies) and churros along with non–sweet items such as fries, paella, rice, and empanadas. Four and Twenty Blackbird Bake Shop will have its Early Bird Food trailer on site that will have beignets, pie, and fresh berry yogurt parfaits.
The Sweet Treats Dessert Festival will be Saturday, February 3 at the Exchange at Bridge Park, 6520 Riverside Drive, Dublin. Times will be divided into two two-hour sessions with the first from noon to 2:00 pm, and the second from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Early bird $25 passes are from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
