Grandview Heights area aids Southeast Texas with charity gala

Cement Marketing, Women in Digital and other Columbus agencies are setting aside their marketing, communications and advertising to sponsor a gala the Columbus Agency Ball for SE Texas to aid victims in Hurricane Harvey’s wake.

Organizers promise good food, great music and an evening of meeting other members of the community. Everyone will be leaving their digital Business Cards and other networking devices at home. A full 100% of the proceeds will go to the Houston and surrounding area relief efforts.

Those in Grandview Heights who wish to do more for Houston relief may be interested to know that Columbus has general donation efforts such as the Red Cross, Save the Children, Heart to Heart, and Portlight. Galveston County, Houston County, South East Texas, Feeding Texas, and San Antonio food banks are also accepting donations.

The Texas Diaper Bank, Driscoll Children’s Hospital and animal rescue organizations such as the SPCA of Texas, Dallas Animal Services, the San Antonio Humane Society, and Austin Pets Alive are also in need of monetary help and supplies. Other ways are to donate blood at local blood banks such as our local community Red Cross or become a Salvation Army or Red Cross trained volunteer to go to Houston and distribute fresh water, food, bedding, and clothing.

The gala will be at Vue Columbus, 95 Liberty Street, Columbus on Tuesday, September 19th from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm.
