Full speed ahead for September motoring event

Next month, Grandview Height’s Rife’s Autobody will once again be presenting its Wheel O Rama-an all-class car, motorcycle, and truck show.

This will be the sixth year for the event. If this year is anything like last year, more than 180 cars and motorcycles will be on display, and prizes will be awarded in over 50 categories. In excess of 750 people are expected to attend.

A live DJ will be in charge of the music and the site will have a Grandview Touch-A-Truck. Fire and EMS will be on hand to answer any questions. Food carts and trucks will be offering their specialties for purchase as well.

Attendees may want to get in on the 50/50 and the raffles, which will have hundreds of prizes and goodies. Goodie Bags will be distributed to the first 150 guests, which will contain items such as promotional Drinkware and Gift Certificates that have been donated by local businesses.

The event is an annual fundraiser for Youth Advocate Services, which is a 501 non-profit organization that cares for children and their families here in Grandview Heights, as well as Columbus and surrounding area. Last year, the show raised $16,000, and organizers hope to crank this up to $18,000 this time round.

Car and motorcycle enthusiasts will want to head on down to Grandview Yard to the show that will be at Goodale Boulevard on Bobcat Street on Sunday, September 18 between noon and 4:00 pm.
