Five races offered in Meaningful Miles

Meaningful Miles, coming in mid-October, will be a two-day weekend running event featuring five races covering five distances.

The longest race-the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon, and the Columbus Half Marathon will be run simultaneously. Corrals open at 6:00 am, Wheelchair Division starts at 7:25 am, and the marathon will begin at 7:30 am on Sunday. Race fees for the marathon are $135 until August 31st and $145 thereafter. Race fees for the half marathon will be $120 until the end of August and increase to $130 after that.

Training tech tees, cotton/poly lifestyle tees, half zips, butterfly hats and stainless-steel travel Mugs – all sporting the ASICS Logo Design, will be available for purchase during registration. Personalized medal engraving will also be available.

The course will be a tour of Downtown Columbus Upper Arlington, Bexley, The Ohio State University and Grandview Heights. Course highlights will include patient champions, crowd support, DJS and bands.

The New! 5k and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, beginning at 11:00 am. The races will be run in honor of Ohio State’s running great, Jesse Owens. Registrants will receive finisher medals and event beanies.

A Kids’ run will feature a diaper dash for toddlers and races for ages four to five, six to eight and nine and eleven.

Meaningful Miles will take place October 15th and 16th at North Bank Park, 311 W Long Street, Columbus.
