The 23rd annual Dash for Donations will be returning to an in-person format in Downtown Columbus in just over a week.
The 5K and ½-mile Family Fun Run, and the Kids’ and Mascot Dash, have been organized to stress the importance of eye, organ, and tissue donation.
Registration for individuals entering the 5K will be $35 until tomorrow, June 30, when it will rise to $40. Teams of five or more may register for $25 each until June 30 and $30 thereafter. Individual Virtual, Family Fun Walk, and Kids and Mascot Dash participation is also available for $15 each.
All in-person participants will receive event T-Shirts sporting this year’s graphic design, along with medals. Virtual participants will receive medals only.
Grandview Heights kids and other local children under the age of seven will be participating in the Kids and Mascot Dash beginning at 8:00 am. Local community mascots from schools, businesses, and clubs will accompany the children in the 100-meter run.
Registration will open at 6:30 am on race day. The 5K Run/Walk will begin rain or shine at 8:15 am and the Family Fun Walk will start at 8:30 am.
The annual Circle of Life Garden will be located at the event site. This will be a quiet place containing flower Signs with names of those living or dead that have connections with Lifeline of Ohio.
Dash for Donations will take place Saturday, July 9 at Genoa Park, 303 W. Broad Street, Columbus.
