Grandview Heights fitness enthusiasts will be flocking to Pierse Field for Community Fitness Day activities in mid-June.
Chair volleyball will begin at 9:00 am and finish around 11:00 am at the Basketball Court. Pickleball will be at the Pierce Tennis Courts from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm, and inflatable obstacle courses will be available from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Community Bike Ride bikers will meet at Hilo Lane at 11:15 am.
Youth fitness activities will include a Fitness Game put on by Primrose School of Grandview at 9:15 am, and Toddlers and Youth Zumba at 10:15 am.
High-impact adult activities will include a Grandview Pro Fitness class at 9:30 am. This will be a fast-paced strength-building set of exercises with modifications for advanced, intermediate, and beginners. Ronin Training Center will offer Muay Thai starting at 9:30 am. A yoga class, Stretchin’ with Gretchen, will also begin at 9:30 am. Ronin Training Center will hold a Krav Maga (Israeli self-defence method) class starting at 10:30 am.
Adult low-impact activities will include Stretching at 9:00 am, Weights at 9:45 am, and a Cardio Stick demonstration at 10:45 am. Line dancing begins at 11:30 am with a tap class at noon.
Local fitness clubs and businesses that support events like this often arrange flyer printing to get the information out to their members, clients, and employees.
Community FITness Day will be Saturday, June 12 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
