Cold front hits Ohio

Runners in Columbus, and nearby Grandview Heights, can run, eat a cold treat, and support a good cause this month.

The 3rd Annual Wendy’s Frosty 5K run and walk will aid the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Proceeds from the event will go to help adoption efforts in the local area.

The first 250 finishers will be given a medal. In addition, the top male and female finishers overall, and in every age group, will get awards.

Until this coming Thursday, August 20, at 11:59 am, registration costs $30 plus additional fees. A family of four can register for $100.

Packet pickup will be held on August 20 from noon until 4:00 pm, along with 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Pickups will also take place on August 21 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Packets can be picked up at the Wendy’s Corporate Office, located on 1 Dave Thomas Boulevard.
The event has a wide variety of sponsors. It is likely a banner printing service was asked to make large Signs for the race. Sponsors’ logos are often included on event Banners.

The race kicks off on August 23 at 9:00 am, taking place at 330 Huntington Park Lane. Race day registration begins at 7:15 pm and the awards ceremony will start at 10:30 am. For more information, call 614-595-7286.
