Charity holds Halloween walk and drive

Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) is presenting The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) annual One Walk Central Ohio. This will be a family fitness and fundraising event that will culminate with the JDRF Halloween Drive.

For the One Walk Central Ohio, Grandview Heights families and friends are invited to register their groups online and choose their own route, number of miles and set their own pace.

Individuals raising $100 will receive the Walk’s T-Shirts sporting the event’s graphic design, and those raising $1,000 or more will receive 2020 National DriFIt shirts through the mail and V1P Car Magnets at the drive-through event.

Team fundraising incentives will include Treasure Boxes of swag at the $250 level, Mile of Hope sign at the $500 level, Deluxe Treasure Boxes at the $750 level, and recognition as a JDRF Superhero at the drive-through and on social media at $7,000.

Top 10 teams will receive Top Team Yard Signs, and the top 30 family teams will receive car flags printed with “Top Family Team.”

The event will culminate with a Halloween Drive. This will head through the CAS campus, featuring a pirate cove and characters dressed in Halloween couture. Registered JDRF teams can take the drive for free and the general public can go for $25 a carload.

The Drive will take place at the CAS Campus, 2540 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 25th.
