Area gets jazzed up for August

The Fourth Annual Jazz & Eggs fundraiser is coming in mid-August. This is an annual breakfast event to help The Leadership Experience fund its programs. This year’s theme will be ‘An Affair to Remember IV’.

The buffet will offer the standard breakfast fare of sausage, bacon, and home fries, along with an omelet station.

This year’s jazz ensemble will be Ron Henderson & Jazz Mix. The group will be blending old-school jazz with new selection interspersed with smooth jazz.

A silent auction will feature items such as an Orlando Wyndham resort Disney package and a Macy’s shopping spree. The auction will also take bids on gift cards from stores such as Target and Nordstrom’s. The list of items up for bid also includes a autographed picture of singer Bruno Mars and tickets to his upcoming Columbus concert.

All of the proceeds will go toward the Leadership Experience programs. This year, the event sponsors are hoping to raise enough money to send at least 60 at-risk children to Camp L.E.A.D.

Those in Grandview Heights with an interest still have time to get the relevant information out to their benevolent organizations in time for their August newsletter printing.

The event is scheduled for August 12th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant, 5030 Sawyer Road, Columbus.
