The rock band Vampire Weekend recently announced the dates for their upcoming Father of the Bride Tour, and Cincinnati is on the list—but for only one show out of 35 performances.
The band will be playing some of their biggest shows yet, including stadium performances at venues such as the Hollywood Bowl and Madison Square Garden. They will also be the headliner at a number of festivals, including Firefly in Dover, Delaware, and Gulf Shores, Alabama's Hangout. Other stops on the tour include Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Chicago; Dallas; Austin; and Boston as they swing across the country. They are even going north to Canada.
Vampire Weekend was founded in New York in 2006, and currently records for Columbia Records. In 2014, they won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album for their ‘Modern Vampires of the City’.
Vampire Weekend is based in New York City, and whetted fans appetite for the tour by releasing two new tracks, ‘2021’ and ‘Harmony Hall’ recently. The songs are from their ‘Father of the Bride’ album, which they will release in the spring in conjunction with the tour.
