Two rock superstars are coming to Cincinnati next month.
Rod Stewart is on tour with Cheap Trick, and they will appear at the Riverbend Music Center.
Sir Roderick Steward CBE was knighted in 2016 for his services to charity and music. A native of London, where he was raised, Stewart is one of the best-selling musicians ever, with sales of more than 120 million records throughout the world. In the UK, Stewart put 31 singles in the Top 10, with six going to No. 1. Ten of his albums reached the top spot, and in the United States, he has placed 16 singles in the Top 10, four of which went to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. His best-known single is probably “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”
Cheap Trick is touring with Stewart. The group was formed in 1973 in Rockford, Illinois. They released their self-titled debut in 1977. Their second album, “In Color,” also dropped in 1977, and was a hit in Japan. Their breakthrough into the mainstream came with the “Cheap Trick at Budokan” album, which hit the U.S. Top 10 in 1979. During their career, the band has sold over 20 million albums and performed more than 5,000 live concerts.
Stewart and Cheap Trick will be in Cincinnati on July 12. When special events such as this are scheduled, organizers can take advantage of poster printing to create advertising to inform audiences of the evening.
