Chris Renzema is a songwriter and performer who grew up in Michigan and is now based out of Nashville, Tennessee. He has self-produced and released several albums that have been well-received by digital listeners. He dropped his EP, “Age to Age,” in 2014, and a second album, “I’ll Be the Branches,” in 2018. That same year, he signed a contract with Centricity Music.
In April 2020, Renzema released “Let the Ground Rest” on that label, winning a glowing review from Josh Balogh, and that year he was also nominated for a Dove Award as “New Artist of the Year.”
With regard to his “Let the Ground Rest,” Renzema said the album touched on themes such as hope for a better future, patience, and resilience. He also noted that he did not consciously plan to release the album in the middle of a difficult period, but it seems to fit the times.
A review of Chris Renzema in concert says:
