A trio of Irish vocalists will be coming to Cincinnati soon.
The Irish Tenors first came to public awareness when they were featured on a TV special broadcast from Ireland in 1998. Their reputation grew when they appeared in “Live from Ellis Island,” their first television appearance, hosted by Martin Sheen.
The Irish Tenors join Andrea Bocelli and The Three Tenors as some of the most successful performers to appear in PBS history. They have appeared live in concert with symphony orchestras in some of the greatest venues in the United States and around the world, including Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall, both in New York City; the Hollywood Bowl in California; and the Sydney Opera House in Australia. They have performed for Prime Ministers and Presidents as well as millions of fans.
The Irish Tenors are Declan Kelly, Ronan Tynan, and Anthony Kearns. All have extensive musical backgrounds, including appearing in opera, operettas, and musical theater productions, singing everything from Rossini to Bizet to Donizetti. Their repertoire today touches on numerous genres including traditional Celtic works.
The Irish Tenors will appear at Memorial Hall’s Annie W. and Elizabeth M. Anderson Theater on March 16, at 7.00 pm. Memorial Hall is located at 1225 Elm Street.
