Kenny Lattimore has been performing for over 20 years, starting out as a session vocalist with the group Maniquin, and then transitioning into the position of lead singer. He left Maniquin to pursue a career on his own, and in 1994, was signed by Columbia Records who released his 1996 self-titled debut album, “Kenny Lattimore.” The singles “Never Too Busy” and “For You” were both on this album. The album made it to Gold status, and earned Lattimore a Best New Artist award in 1996 at the NAACP Image Awards.
Kenny’s vocals have been part of projects by artists like Brian Culbertson and Nancy Wilson to Rachelle Ferrell and Musiq Soulchild. He has also made his mark on classics by such icons as The Beatles, recreated Christmas tunes, and worked on soundtracks from films like “Lion King II: Simba’s Pride.”
Recently, his song “Days Like This” was featured in “The Last Dance,” an Emmy-winning documentary series about basketball icon Michael Jordan, who would listen to Kenny’s music as he got ready to play in the NBA Finals.
A review says:
“His vocals and range are breathtaking. He put on a great show and the interaction with the audience just added to the greatness.”
Kenny will bring his “Christmas & Love” show to the Ludlow Garage on December 23. Venues like this can use poster printing to create advertising for such events.
