Tribute to The Boss in Cincinnati
A tribute band to one of rock’s greatest artists is coming to Cincinnati.
‘Bruce in the USA’ is a tribute to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. The tribute band got its start in 2004 in Las Vegas, when it made its debut at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The show was exciting and fun, and most importantly, created the same party feeling that accompanies a concert by Springsteen himself. ‘Bruce in the USA’ was so successful that even the numerous skeptics were convinced.
Bruce in the USA stars Matt Ryan, who started as a drummer, then got into the production side of the business, before venturing into live performance. Matt relocated his production company in 2000, moving to Las Vegas to perform as Bruce Springsteen in the “Legends in Concert” show.
The other current members are Matthew “Sully” Sullivan, who loved Springsteen from an early age. A guitarist who was fortunate enough to study with Ellis Marsalis (Branford and Wynton’s father), he wound up in Las Vegas, met Sullivan, and joined the tribute band. Pianist Joey Lunsford is an educator as well as performer, and teaches at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. The last member of the group is organist Atticus Finch, who has worked with artists like Cyndi Lauper, and Aretha Franklin.
‘Bruce in the USA’ will take place at the Ludlow Garage on Saturday, November 18. When events such as this are planned, organizers can use poster printing to create great advertising.
