Stand-up comic and actor comes to Cincinnati

A face familiar to audiences from his work on television as well as on stage is coming to Cincinnati.

Chris D’Elia is a native of Montclair, New Jersey, who relocated to Los Angeles with his family when he was 12. He attended La Canada High School and began acting at that time, landing appearances on “Chicago Hope.” He went back to the East Coast to New York University to study acting, but dropped out, disliking the college experience. He wrote scripts, and then decided to give stand-up comedy a try, which he had enjoyed before.

Having made his debut as a stand-up comic at North Hollywood’s Ha Ha Café, D’Elia was well-received as a comedian and now describes himself as a comedian who sometimes acts. His acting career includes playing the role of Alex Miller on “Whitney,” an NBC sitcom; Danny Burton on “Undateable,” for two years; Kenny on “The Good Doctor” 2017 and 2018; and Henderson on “You,” a Netflix series. Despite of a solid acting resume, he enjoys comedy even more.

D’Elia has appeared on Comedy Central’s shows “Comedy Central Presents” and “Live at Gotham,” as well as “Live Nude Comedy” on Showtime. He co-hosted the “Ten Minute Podcast,” as well as hosting his own podcast “Congratulations with Chris D’Elia.”

Chris D’Elia will be at the Taft Theatre on April 3 at 8.00 pm. Posters, which organizers will find at Print shops, are a traditional means of advertising shows like this.
